MRS. EMMA MURPHY OF LOCKPORT DIES AT AGE OF 72
Lockport, Dec. 16 - Mrs. Emma Murphy, 72, 916 Washington street, died at St. Joseph's hospital, yesterday, after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Murphy was born in Joliet on July 1, 1875 and has been a resident of Lockport practically all of her life.
Surviving are one son, William Murphy of glen Ellyn; four daughters, Mrs. Anna Clark, Mrs. Margaret Thomas, Mrs. Cecelia Shipp and Mrs. Emma Miller all of Lockport; one brother, Jacob Koerner of Fenville, Mich., also two sisters, Mrs. Clara Anderson and Mrs. Elizabeth Dysterud of Chicago; also 19 grandchildren and 1 great grand child.
She was a member of the Holly camp, Royal Neighbors of America.
Funeral services will be held from the Clarence L. Miller funeral home Thursday morning at 9 o'clock and to St. Denis' church at 9:30 o'clock. Burial will be in the Calvary cemetery, North of Lockport.
