Wednesday, 29 September 1937 obituary, The Daily Times, New Philadelphia, Ohio, page 10:

Mrs. Lena Postel Pope, 66, died this morning at her home northwest of Newcomerstown after four years illness of a complication of diseases. She was the daughter of James and Martha Postel and lived her entire life in the vicinity where she died.

Surviving are the seven children: Mrs. Bert Reed, Mrs. Harry Robinson and Mrs. Ollie Huff, all of Newcomerstown; Chester of the home; Howard, Coshocton; Clarence, Indianapolis and Vernon, who resides in the West; two brothers Lemuel Postel, Iowa, William, Michigan, and five sisters, Mrs. Maranda Murphy, Kansas; Mrs. Mary Browning, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Hattie Harp, Mrs. Martha Couts and Mrs. Sarah EIIwood, all of Port Washington. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the home. Rev. M. L. Oliver and Rev. S. W. EIlis will officiate and burial in charge of the Jones and Lydick

Funeral Home will be made in West Lafayette.
