Lida Mae Gentry Aldridge, 82, of Belmont Towers in Parsons, Kansas died Thursday evening November 12, 1987 at the Westbrook Manor nursing home. She was a former Neodesha and Altoona area resident.
She was born November 25, 1904 in Galena, Kansas to McDonald "Mac" and Mollie (Jenkins) Roller. She was married to Richard Gentry on July 2, 1920 in Columbus, KS. Richard died in 1964. Lydia married Frederick "Fred" Aldridge August 3, 1967 in Lynwood, California. They separated, but did not divorce.
She attended the Nazarene Church in Neodesha. She enjoyed writing and receiving letters as a hobby.
Survivors include; five daughter; Thelma Earley of Liberty, MO; Lavinna Stallsmith of Parsons, KS; Myrtle Marrs of Kingman, AZ; Dollie Magner of Topeka, KS and Tillie Cruse of Stockton, CA. One sister, Ruby Uber of Joplin, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. One brother and one sister preceded her in death.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home of Neodesha with the Rev. Richard Bowermaster of First Baptist Church of Neodesha officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery of Parsons.

Miss Lida Mae (Roller) married Richard Randolph Gentry on July 2, 1920 at Columbus, Kansas - Cherokee County. Lida was fifteen years old and Richard was seventeen years old. This union was blessed with five daughters. They were married until R. R. Gentry's death in 1964.
