Lambert John Cherne

Lambert J Cherne was born December 16, 1920 in Albany, Minnesota to Joseph and Gertrude (Ostendorf) Cherne.

Lambert Cherne married Leora C Stroeing, daughter of Frank and Anna (Buettner) Stroeing of New Munich, on October 2, 1945 in New Munich, Minn. (Stearns Marr Lic: 27113187)

Lambert and Leora are the parents of six children: Sharon, Ronald, LeRoy, Mary Lou, Lloyd and John.

Lambert was killed in a work accident at a granite company in St. Cloud, Minn on March 10, 1958. See the article and obituary from the Melrose Beacon in the PHOTO section for details.

Lambert was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Cherne, in 1954. His mother-in-law and father-in-law died in a car accident in April 1956.

Father Ronald Schmelzer was the officiant at the funeral of Lambert Cherne. Burial took place at St. Anthony's Cemetery in St. Anthony, Stearns County, Minnesota.
