Parents of George were: Lafayette and Maria T Anderson. Evidently he was an only child and his mother died when he was still at home. His father then married Sarah and he now became a big brother to their son Robert Anderson.

George had a host of occupations in his lifetime. In 1880 at age 25 he still lived at home which was in Monroe, Plate, Nebraska and he is a farmer.

In 1900 he is in Hanns Peak, Routt, Colorado which is called the Upper Snake River in Colorado. At this time he is a Saloon Keeper and Jailer. Two prisioners are listed as living in his household.

Shortley after the 1900 Census he moved on to Hayden, Routt, Colorado. There he met a school teacher named Cora Adair. They were married in 1902. Cora was approximately 20 years younger than George.

The 1910 Census shows George still living in Hayden, Routt, Colorado and now he is a Cigar merchant. By 1920 George and Cora are living in Milner Colorado and at age 64 he has returned to being a farmer.

Then in 1930 George was now a proprietors of a transfer line and he had a partner in this business which was William Klechner, who is also living in the Anderson household and is listed as a boarder/patient.

In 1936, after George died, his wife Cora married this partner.
