DRAPER - Virginia Blaney Brown, 69, our loving mother, sister and grandmother, passed away October 11, 1987.
Born March 18, 1918 in Fairview, Wyoming to Alfred and Elizabeth Jane Evans Blaney. Married Harvey H. Brown in Salt Lake City April 18, 1938. He preceded her in death December 30, 1973; their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple July 12, 1976. Member of the LDS Church having served many years as a Relief Society visiting teacher. She retired from Deseret Pharmaceutical and had previously worked in the Draper Elementary Scholl Lunch Program. She loved to travel and meet people. Virginia's life was one of unselfish service to her family and special friends.
Survived by daughters, Mrs. Ervin Val (Joyce) Carlsen; Mrs. Henry M. (Delores) Miller; Mrs. Dan A. (Lorene) Childs; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Willard (Dorothy) Crumpl Mrs. Willis (Edna) Simmons; Florence Montoya; Mrs. Keith (Alene) Densley; Mrs. Joe (Betty) Troyer; brothers, Edwin and Lawrence Blaney; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Alan (Virginia) Blaney; Mrs. Ezra (Ruby) Blaney Smith. Preceded in death by two brothers, Allen and Ted; and son, Jackie Brown.
Funeral services will be Thursday, 11 a.m., in the Draper 7th Ward, 600 East 12300 South. Friends my call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State, Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, at the church, one hour prior to services. Burial, Sandy Cemetery.
