Lawrence George Blaney (LG), age 85, passed away on 12/06/08. He was married to his sweetheart, Mary Hardcastle, for 63 years.

He was born in Draper, Utah and lived the majority of his life in the Salt Lake valley. He served in the South Pacific theater during WWII. He loved being with his family, especially outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and taught his grandchildren and great grandchildren to love it also. He retired from the painters union local 77, but continued to serve his family and community.

He was survived by his wife Mary Hardcastle; his daughters – Diana (Ron) Stephens and Lorraine (Dave) Goodsell; his grandchildren Gina (Mike) Hamlin, Ronna Stephens, Richard Stephens, Justin (Julie) Goodsell and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grand daughter, Natalie Goodsell and nine brothers and sisters. He lived his life quietly and passed on in the same manner surrounded by his loved ones.
