MRS. THOMAS WEST WILL BE LAID TO REST FROM SECOND LUTHERAN CHURCH
The funeral of Mrs. Thomas West, who died at her home on Pearl street Saturday, will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Second Lutheran Church. Rev. E. H. Dornblaser, pastor of the church will have charge of the service.
Mrs. West, before her marriage, was Miss Franches H. Clingan and she was raised at Summerford, Madison county. On November 7, 1878, she was married to Thomas West and they came to this city (Springfield) in 1887 where they had since resided.
One child was born, Lene Ethel West, who was married to Rev. Harry W. Hanshue and died shortly after her marriage. Mrs. West was highly esteemed, generous and charitable. She took an active part in all church and Sunday school work at the Second Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Missionary and Ladies Aid Society.
She is survived by her husband and a sister, Mrs. Laura Arnold, of Bradford Junction, Ohio and a brother, James H. Clingan, of Summerford. She will be interred in the Ferncliff Cemetery.
