CLINGAN
Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Clingan, the wife of Andrew J. Clingan, died at their home in Somerford at 7 o'clock yesterday morning, after a ten week illness of consumption of the bowels.
The maiden name of the deceased was Clark, she being the sister of James Clark. She was born in Frederick county, Md., and died at the age of 69 years.
At seventeen she was married to Mr. Clingan and to them were born seven children, the oldest son, Alonzo, having died in Andersonville prison defending his country. Those living are Mrs. Laura V. Arnold, recently a resident of Troy, O.; Mrs. Mary Weller, Urbana; Wm. L. and James H., Somerford; Mrs. Ida Foster, Oak Run township, and Mrs. Fannie West, Springfield.
The deceased has been a resident of Somerford township for over fifty years and a constant member of the Christian Church for forty years. She was highly respected by all and was a good neighbor and friend.
The funeral services will be held at the Christian Church, Somerford, Rev. Caris officiating, at 10 o'clock tomorrow(Thursday) and the remains will be interred in the Wilson cemetery.
