SALT LAKE CITY - Robert V. Glasmann, age 67, died of pancreatitis at his home in Salt Lake City, on Monday, July 5, 1993.
He was born on August 9, 1925 in Ogden, Utah to Juanita Richards and William W. Glasmann.
He married LaRue Nielsen on Nov. 14, 1949. They were later divorced.
He was a graduate of Ogden High School and he attended the University of California at Berkeley and Weber State College.
He was a prominent and successful businessman, active in several community organizations. He was President and General Manager of Western Arts Photoengraving in Ogden; served on the board of directors of the Standard Corp., and he owned and operated the Studio City Bar in Studio City, Calif. He was active in the Exchange Club of Ogden and served as its president for one term. He was active in the Ogden Symphony Guild; a member of the Ogden Golf and Country Club and the Weber Club, also serving as its president. He was a member of the Western States Platemakers Assoc., served as president and he was also on the board of directors. He was listed in Who's Who of Business in the Western United States. He was a benefactor and supporter of many philanthropic and educational organizations, including the University of California at Berkeley, Weber State College and the Sierra Club.
He enlisted in the U. S. Navy during WWII and was decorated with a purple heart. He was employed also by HAFB after the war.
