Charles E. Brown, Sr., 65, of 1729 Oak Drive died Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John W. P. Oliver officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park.
A native of Rocky Point, N.C., he had lived in Augusta 19 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Rotary Club, Augusta Elks Lodge 205 and Webbs Lodge F&AM. He was a retired general agent for the Atlantic Coastline Railroad.
Survivors include his widow, the former Katharine Brinkley; daughter, Mrs. Donald D. Starnes, Augusta; son Charles E. Brown, Jr., Winston-Salem, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. R. J. Williams, Jr. and Mrs. J. Randolph Baker of Goldsboro, N.C., and Mrs. Everett Durham, Burgaw, N.C.; and a brother, C. S. Brown, Goldsboro.
The family will be at Poteet Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
