George W. SNYDER, 77, a resident of Argos all his life, died at 11 p.m. Tuesday in Plymouth Parkview hospital of a heart attack suffered early Tuesday morning.
A farmer and member of the Walnut Church of the Brethren, Mr. Snyder resided all his life in the house in which he was born on Christmas Day, 1881. He was the son of Henry and Caroline HUFF SNYDER. On Jan. 1, 1909, he was married in Argos to Mildred PUTTERBAUGH, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Roy (Hazel) SHOEMAKER, R.R. 1, Argos; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Lester ZEHNER, R.R. 4, Plymouth, and three brothers, Benjamin [SNYDER], Argos, Drew [SNYDER], Corpus Christi, Texas, and Russell [SNYDER], Holtville, Cal.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Walnut Church of the Brethren with the pastor, the Rev. Eldon EVANS, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Grossman funeral home in Argos after noon Thursday and until noon Saturday, when the body will be taken to lie in state at the church.
