On August 25, 1886, Sadie was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Sarah Ann Dalley and Sylvester Silas Hulet. That fall she and her mother went to Summit, Utah, to live with Grandmother Lette Dalley, while her father was on a mission in England. Her early childhood was spent in Summit and she attended grade school there, and later attended Branch Normal School at Cedar City, Utah. She then attended the University of Utah in Salt Lake City where she obtained her teaching credentials. Her first teaching assignment was a Fielding, Utah. Later she moved to Driggs, Idaho, to teach. The family had moved to Teton Basin by that time. She taught for several years, then was elected to the position of superintendent of schools for Teton County, Idaho.

In December 1920 she married Samuel Oscar Lowe. In 1921 she and Sam accepted teaching positions in Arizona. They later returned to Driggs. Sam suffered an accidental death, and Sadie was left a widow with the responsibility of Sam's two sons, Rodolph and George, and she cared for them until they were through high school.

In 1936 Sadie attended Arizona State College at Tempe and obtained her bachelor's degree in 1937. She returned to Driggs and taught home economics in the Teton High School. In 1940 she married Clarence Earl Harris. They operated a motel and small grocery store in Driggs. They had many happy years together. Earl died, and Sadie was again left a widow.

Sadie was an active Church worker, holding positions in the MIA and the Relief Society, both ward and stake. In her advancing years she struggled to maintain her independence and care for herself. She passed away July 18, 1978, at a nursing home in Pocatello, Idaho, at nearly 92 years of age.
