Daniel Baldwin was born and raised in Connecticut. He married Anna "Hannah" Knight on Apr 15, 1753 in Mansfield, Conn. She bore him eight children: Daniel, Elijah, Anne, Joseph, Shubael, Lydia, Philip Turner, and Deborah between 1754 to 1776. He moved to Vermont sometime before 1775 and the Revolution.
He served in the Revolution as private in Capt. Timothy Bush's company, Col. Peter Olcutt's regiment, Vermont troops.
She died before him, leaving him a widower until he died in 1816, in Dover. The History of Dover lists him as buried in the Baldwin Private Cemetery in Dover, Windham Co, VT.
