OBITUARY Iron County Reporter Jan 16 2002 "Obituaries: Rosanna Nordstrom"
LIBERTYVILLE, Ill,-Rosanna Nordstrom, 94, a recent resident of Winchester House, passed away Jan. 5.
She was born Oct. 27, 1907 in Wilson, daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Marcell. She attended schools in Norway and Iron River and later was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone Company for 12 years as a telephone operator and supervisor. On March 27, 1937 she married Edwin Nordstrom and they moved to Waukegan, Ill. where she became a lifelong resident. During her lifetime she was employed by Illinois Bell Telephone Company, Lake Forest College and the Lake County Tuberculosis Sanitarium. She was a member of AARP and former member of Mother of God Church in Waukegan and the Christian Mothers Sodality. Her greatest pleasure was to bring happiness to others. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 17, 1992; six brothers, Edmond, Dennis, Norman, Wilfred, Thomas and Lawrence Marcell; and two sisters, Viola Harris and Lillian Eusebio.
A beloved mother and grandmother, she is survived by a son Kenneth (Bonnie) of Antioch, Ill.; a daughter Bette (Dennis) Pasiewicz of Oro Valley, Ariz.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a brother Leonard Marcell of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Jan. 12 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in North Chicago, Ill.
Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
