Anson Western Enterprise (Anson, Texas) July 26, 1928 page I. E. MACON I. E. Macon was born in Hardeman county, Tenn., April 24, 1866, and died Sunday night, July 15 1928 at 10:30 o’clock in Stamford, Texas.
Mr. Macon left Tennessee 42 years ago and came to Fannin county, Texas. There he lived near Leonard, Texas, until 1908, when he left there and moved his family to Jones county, near Stamford.
Mr. Macon is survived by eight sisters, a host of friends and relatives, nineteen grandchildren, a wife and ten children. The children are as follows: Mrs. Lynn Flowers, W. D. Macon, Ebb Macon, Mrs. E. L. Hinson, Mrs. W. H. Hargrove, Mrs. Jack Fuqua, Mrs. J. C. King, Otis, Roy and Cleo Macon. --Stamford Leader
