In a tribute published on 1 Oct 1873 in the Western Christian Advocate written by Charles Thomas it states he died near Weymouth, Medina, Ohio on 18 Jul 1873 but it doesn't look like an 8 on the stone. It also said he was born on 25 Oct 1891, moving from Pennsylvania to Sharon, OH in 1831 and having been converted and joined the church in 1809 he was appointed leader of the first Methodist class of seven in that town.
