John H. Whipple, aged 78 years, a former resident of Springfield, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Florence Bennett, at Crete, Nebraska. Mr. Whipple was an old resident of this city and lived at 1020 South Spring street. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Bennett, two brothers, Asbury and Sylvester, of Springfield, and two sisters, Martha, residing at Covert, Kansas, and Daisy, residing at Washington, D. C. Funeral services were held at Crete, Nebraska, yesterday.
