Jesse Melvin Freeman, 61, of Denning died Friday at his home of apparent heart attack. Son of the late William Andrew and Loxie William Freeman, he was born March 23, 1914, in Franklin county. Survivors include his wife, Lucy Cowan Freeman; two daughters, Alta Page and frieda Vaughan, both of Altus, two sons, Jessie Kenneth and Billy, both of Altus; a sister, Hazel Childers of DeSoto, Kans.; a brother, Pharmon Freeman of DeSoto; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were Monday at the Altus Pentecostal church. Burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery.
