OZARK - Lucy Elizabeth "Hoopie" Freeman, 88, of Ozark died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, in Ozark. She was born Oct. 28, 1917, in Jethro community. She was retired from Cargill in 1982, a member of Jethro Pentecostal Church and United Pentecostal Church of Altus and the widow of Jesse Freeman. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Ozark. She is survived by two daughters, Frieda Vaughan and Alta Page, both of Ozark; two sons, Kenneth and Bill Freeman, both of Denning; two sisters, Cora Childers of England and Edna Moody of Ozark; a brother, Bill Cowan of Ozark; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ted Skolarski, Gary Crutchfield, Clinton Yother, Carl Vandenberg, Noah McCollister and Robert Bramlett. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons. Times Record Online
