There used to be a small family cemetery in Canby called the Pendleton Cemetery. Three of the five graves that were in the cemetery were removed and re-interred in Zion Cemetery in 1965 according to the Oregon Burial Site Guide. The cemetery was on the ridge overlooking the Molalla River near Knights Bridge. Apparently somebody obtained ownership of the land the cemetery was on and wanted the little tiny cemetery removed. I did not find anything about the other two people if they were not removed from the little cemetery or if they were re-interred somewhere else besides Zion Cemetery?
I would guess Thomas was buried there and he may have not had a gravestone and he got left there and was not re-interred in Zion with his wife but that would be a guess on my part.
