In addition to her parents and both husbands, Betty was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Bernalee, who died in early childhood; 2 sons, Charles and Jerry Bennett; 2 grandsons, Charles Bennett, Jr. and Jakie Bailey II; 1 granddaughter, Bernalee Jane "Bunny" Bailey; 2 brothers, Carl A. "Junior" Squier and Charles "Bud" Squier; 3 sisters, Letha Rosa, Dorothy Ruckman and Mildred Etter; and 1 half-brother, Alvin Squier.
Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. on 18 Jun 1996 at Hanks-Gubser Funeral Home in Hardin. Funeral services were conducted there at 11 a.m. the following morning. Betty was buried next to her son, Charles Bennett, Sr., and shares a marker with him.
The family requested that memorials, if desired, be made to a charity of one's choice.
