Mrs. Melvin Harrington
Mrs. Ruby (Montgomery) Harrington, 80, widow of Melvin Harrington, died at her home at 106 Chimes St., Saturday night. She was born in Shaftsbury Sept 16, 1890, daughter of Robert and Julia (Buck) Montgomery.
She had attended Shaftsbury school and the North Bennington High School. She was first married to Elmer Bushee, who died in 1918. Mrs. Harrington had always resided in the area of North Bennington, Shaftsbury and Bennington.
Survivors are two sons, Leonard Bushee and Paul Bushee, both of Bennington; one daughter, Mrs. Carl (Jennie) Jones of Pownal; one sister Mrs. Ezekiel (Inez) Cross of Bennington; 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 pm at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home with the Rev. Floyd La Bombard, pastor First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Village Cemetery, Shaftsbury.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
