Hannah was the daughter of William and Sarah (Squibb) Likins. She married John S. Reynolds in Greene County, MO, on 31 Oct 1850. According to a biosketch in the 2007 book "Republic, MO" written by his descendant Jan Atkinson, John was one of only 10 Pond Creek Township men who voted for Lincoln in 1860, and he was killed in his cabin by bushwackers a year later. He was trying to hold his cabin door shut against the intruders but they shot him through the window, and John died in his wife's arms. She never remarried but raised their six children: William F., James Harrison, Charles W., Thomas B., Sarah E. (Winter), and Susan J (Blades).
