Born April 4, 1951 in Magnolia, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Hazel Shambaugh Stotler.
She attended Great Cacapon Elementary School and Berkeley Springs High School.
She was formerly employed at the Morgan County Commissioners Office.
She was a member of The Lighthouse Assembly of God Church and Women's Ministry.
She liked cooking and spending time with her family.
Ervine Allen is survived by her husband, Dennis "Denny" Allen, at home; two daughters, Angela Gray and husband David, Great Cacapon, W.Va. and Tammy Campbell and husband Rick, Great Cacapon, ; one son Jamie Gloyd and wife Barb, Great Cacapon, W.V. stepdaughter Holly Crites and husband Robert, Bloomery, WVa., and stepson D.J. Allen, Paw Paw, WVa.;two sisters, Violet Sheeder, Warfordsburg, Pa. and Ellen Brown Paw Paw, WVa.; five brothers, Lenwood Stotler, Glen Burnie, Md., Lenord Stotler, Great Cacapon, WVa., Melvin Stotler, Berkley Springs, WVa., Paul Stotler, Great Cacapon, WVa. and Arthur "Buck" Stotler, Berkeley Springs, WVa.; four grandchildren Amanda Footen and husband Eric,Ricky Campbell, Courtney Campbell, Jenna Gloyd and step-grandson Gavin Lee Crites and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers Ralph Shambaugh, Sr., Edward Stotler and Robert Stotler; two sisters Georgie Kerns and Pauline Stotler; one grandson Jamie Gloyd, Jr. and Missouri Shambaugh Manning, by whom she was raised.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Hensley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WVa., with Pastor Earl Travis officiating. Interment was in Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
