Arthur "Buck" Eugene Stotler
(December 16, 1948 - December 6, 2016)

Arthur Eugene “Buck” Stotler, age 67, of Berkeley Springs, WV, died on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born December 16, 1948 in Magnolia, WV, he was the son of the late Elwood Bud and Hazel Catherine Shambaugh Stotler and his foster mother Missouri “Duty” Manning.

He attended Trinity-Asbury United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs. Buck attended public schools in Paw Paw and Great Cacapon, WV. He first worked in the family’s sawmill, then with Pennsylvania Glass Sand Corporation and retired as a machinist with Rayloc in Hancock. He liked to travel, enjoyed antiquing, bowling and metal detecting.

Surviving are his wife, Colleen Elizabeth Harris Stotler, at home, his children, Joshua Stotler of Great Cacapon and Ashli Kelly of Midway, GA, a stepson Mark Beddow of Berkeley Springs, two sisters, Violet Sheeder of Warfordsburg, PA and Ellen Brown of Paw Paw, WV, three brothers, Ray “Lenwood” Stotler of Havre de Grace, MD, Leonard Stotler of Great Cacapon and Melvin Stotler of Berkeley Springs, five grandchildren, Madasin Beddow of Berkeley Springs, Samuel Stotler and Mason Stotler, both of Berkeley Springs, Tayen Beddow and Isaiah Stotler, both of Berkeley Springs and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Mitchell Beddow, three sisters, Georgia Kerns, Ervine Allen and Pauline Stotler and three brothers, Robert Stotler, Edward Stotler and Paul Stotler.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Trinity-Asbury United Methodist Church, 108 Wilkes Street, Berkeley Springs, WV with Pastor Chuck Bergen and Pastor Lisa Unger officiating. Interment will be in Great Cacapon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Friday at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
