Mrs. C. Climenhage, beloved wife of C. Climenhage, in Stevensville, Welland County, Ontario. Sister Climenhage was born in the township of Crowland in the year 1849 –and died October 3, 1912, aged 63 years, 5 months and 1 day. She was the second daughter of Brother and Sister Solomon Beam who were among the first members of the United Brethren church on the Niagara circuit. She is the first out of a family of eleven to pass away. She was united in marriage with Mr. C. Climenhage thirty-seven years ago and moved into the village of Stevensville where they have continued to live up to the time of her death. Their family consisted of five sons and one daughter. Three have passed on before her. She was converted and joined the United Brethren church about thirty years ago. She was faithful in her devotion to the church and the principles for which the church stands. At the time of the division she took a firm stand and her influence was helpful to others in the testing time. She will be greatly missed by the Sunday School and church as she was always in her place when able to attend. The bereaved husband and children and brothers and sisters have the sympathy of the church and the entire community. C. W. BACKUS. The Christian Conservator October 30, 1912.
