Arvel Black, age 80, of Ola, AR died Saturday, December 10, 1988. He was a retired sawmiller and was a member of the Ola Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include a son, Buel Black of West Palm Beach, FL; two daughters, Viola Dunning of Houston, TX and Hazel Haney of Oxnard, CA.; two sisters, Lena Morris and Mannie Barclay of Ola; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday at Ola Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Harry Coffman and the Rev. Jerry Schlinker officiating. Burial was in Sandlin Cemetery. Active pallbearers were George Bostick, William Garner, Charles Barclay, Rick Barclay and R. J Black.
