Mrs. Elizabeth Zeigler Loker, whose death at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Ford at Plum, near the Diamond early yesterday morning, was mentioned in the Herald yesterday, was 92 years of age last April, she having been born in Centre County on April 7, 1824. She was one of fourteen children born to George and Susan Murray Zeigler and she came to the vicinity where she had resided most of her life, when she was 21 years of age.
She has one sister surviving, Mrs. Fanny Longacre, of Woodville, O. Besides the daughter with whom she resided, Mrs. Locker leaves another daughter, Mrs.Adeline Homan, who lives near Wallaceville, and three sons, John Loker of Troy Center, Wilson Loker of Orangeville, O., and Frank Loker of near Chapmanville. Her husband, James Loker, died seventeen years ago next month.
Besides the children, there are surviving also thirteen grandchildren thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at the residence of Mrs. Joseph Ford, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Leo Southworth, pastor of the Sunville M.E. Church, officiating and the interment will take place in the Chapmanville Cemetery.
