He was born in Wood County on July 12, 1925, a son of the late Carl D. and Dora Ethel Barnhouse Bibbee. Chuck was a member of the 36th Street Church of Christ in Vienna and retired from GE Plastics with 18 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, having served in the European Theater. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Surviving is his wife; one son; one daughter; two step-sons; two step-daughters; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers; three sisters.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Jean Westbrook Bibbee; three brothers, Howard Dale Bibbee, James Russell Bibbee and Harold Wade Bibbee; and an infant sister, Barbara Ann Bibbee.
