James R. Bibbee

James Russell Bibbee, 74, of 23rd Street, Vienna, died Feb. 9, 1998, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Murphytown. He retired from Corning Glass in 1985 after 35 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II having received the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He was a member of DAV and VFW.

Survivors include his wife, Murl A. Maffett Bibbee; two sons, Dennis Bibbee of Columbus and Dan Bibbee of Little Hocking; five brothers, Dale Bibbee and Don Bibbee, both of Vienna, Harold Bibbee of Tennessee, Charles Bibbee of Parkersburg and Bernard Bibbee of Walker; three sisters, Maxine Allman and Wanda Darnold, both of Vienna and Wilma Ault of Marietta; and one granddaughter, Kate Bibbee of Little Hocking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl David and Dora Barnhouse Bibbee; one son, David Bibbee; and on grandson, Jason Bibbee.
