m. 12.19.1820 Henry Remsberg (8.2.1796-12.3.1865), son of John Remsberg (12.15.1760-10.18.1844) and grandson of John George Remsberg (2.3.1756-11.21.1820). See Genealogy of the Remsberg Family by Rev. W. L. Remsberg. Henry and Elizabeth are buried in Reformed Church Cemetery at Middletown, Maryland. The obituary of Elizabeth Coblentz Remsberg is found in the Valley Register of Middletown, published 4.29.1881. On page 3: "April 26th, at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. Wm. E. Smith, near Fairview, Mrs. Elizabeth Remsberg, wife of the late Henry Remsberg, of this vicinity, aged about 82 years. Mrs. Remsberg was a daughter of the late Major Peter Coblentz of this valley. She leaves six children, viz: Charles T., living near this place, William P., who resides in Washington County, Ninian H., living in Seneca County, Ohio, and three daughters who are married respectively, to Mr. Daniel Brandenburg of this vicinity, Mr. Wm. E. Smith of Fairview, and Mr. F. T. Hopwood of Frederick. She was a member of the Reformed Church in this place, where funeral services were held at noon yeterday, after which her remains were interred in the Cemetery belonging to the Church." This publication of this weekly newspaper, together with copies of each weekly publication dating from 1860 to date, are on file in the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore, Maryland.
