Lea married George (Eddie) Meekins. He was in the army and together they lived in: Georgia, France, Japan, and Ohio before returning to Michigan. They lived in Redford near Detroit but eventually moved to Kentwood, MI with their 3 children--Jon, Karen, and Sharon. Their girls were adopted (twins).
Hilda was my grandmother. She disliked the name Hilda and was always called Lea. She was very proud of her heritage and family, and eventually had her name changed to Lea Juntunen Meekins--making her maiden name into her new middle name.
