Helen E. Peterson, 88, a former summer resident of Chassell, Michigan, passed away Monday October 23, 2006, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock, Michigan, where she had been a resident patient for three years.
The former Helen Juntunen was born on March 8, 1918, in Painesdale a daughter of the late John Juntunen and Hilda (Kempainen) Juntunen. As a child Helen attended the Doelle School.
Mrs. Peterson has resided in Detroit, Southfield, Speedway, IN, Boynton Beach, Fl, and Chassell. Prior to being a resident at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility Helen had resided in the Northridge Pines Assisted Living Community in Calumet.
In July of 1939 she was united in marriage to Reino Albert Peterson and he preceded her in death in December of 1990.
Helen was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Chassell.
Preceding her in death were her parents, 2 Brothers: Phillip Peterson and an infant brother Wilbert Juntunen.
