Chapel rites were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19, for Mrs. Margaret Ann Adcox Runnels, who passed away July 17 at Englewood Nursing Home in Jackson following a lengthy illness.
Services were held from Mims Mitchell Chapel with Rev. W. C. Hallmark officiating, assisted by Rev. Chester Roberts, and Rev. Joe Trippett. Interment followed in Sharon Cemetery with Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include 6 daughters, Mrs. Tommie Amason, Mt. Olive; Mrs. Fronnie Ware and Mrs. Howard Magee, both of Jackson; Mrs. Estus Butler, Mize; Mrs. Richard L. Williams, Jackson; Mrs. Clinton Sullivan, Bay St. Louis; 5 sons, W. A. Melvin and T. O. Runnels, all of Jackson; Claud Runnels, Starkville; Vardaman Runnels, California; 26 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; 2 half-sisters, Mrs. Clint Smith, Mt. Olive; Mrs. Ina Smith, Polkville; 2 brothers, Gus Adcox, Columbia and Oscar Adcox, Louisiana.
