Funeral services for Tommie Rufus Adcox of Magee were held Sunday afternoon from the Coat Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Underhill and Rev. Foy Killingsworth officiating. Interment was in the Sharon cemetery with Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Adcox, 68 years old, died Friday at Simpson General Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a member of Coat Baptist Church and a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Adcox of Magee; two sons, Pat Adcox of Snyder, Texas, and Dean Adcox of Mendenhall; one daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Nichols of Magee; three sisters, Mrs. Samantha Smith of Magee, Mrs. Inez Smith of Polkville and Mrs. Margaret Ann Runnels of Mt. Olive; two brothers, Oscar Adcox and Gus Adcox of Columbia; and four grandchildren.
