Mrs. Wallace Rites July 23
[Funeral services for Mrs. Frank (Leona) Wallace, 74, of Gravity, held July 23 at Gravity Christian Church were conducted1 by Rev. Ivo Randels. Mils. Wallace died at Clarinda Municipal Hospital July 20, 1966 following a short illness. Interment was at Washington Cemetery, Gravity.
Leona Belle Norris was born June 22, 1892, in Yates City, Ill. to Frank S. and Nellie Norris and moved as a child to Iowa with her parents and brothers and sisters. She received most of her schooling in Taylor County.
Her marriage to Emery Harley Wallace was in January 1911 and they observed their Golden Wedding anniversary on Jan. 25, 1961.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 6, 1965, and by her parents, sisters, Happy and Mary, and brother, Frank. She was a member of the Christian Church at Gravity and until recently was an active member of one of the church circles.
Her survivors include one son, Emery, of the family home southwest of Gravity; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Hollemback, Casper, Wyo., and Miss Evadne Norris, Bedford; a brother, John Norris of Spring Valley, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.
