Betty Jean Anderson Gregory, was born September 29, 1933 in the Concord community of Wayne County to the late Robert and Derlie Dick Anderson. She went to the Lord, July 31, 2019 reaching an age of 85 years.

Betty joined in marriage to Jack Rondal Gregory December 23, 1950. Rondal preceded her in death on April 29, 2008. This union was blessed with two children, Donald Eugene Gregory (wife Carolyn) and Regina Ann Bates (husband Obie); Grandchildren: Mitchell Gregory (wife Amanda), Daniel Gregory (wife Kista), Casey Bates and Brett Bates; Great Grandchildren: Jocee, Lyric, Landon and Logan of whom she was very proud of all. Also surviving are: siblings: Randal Anderson, Katy Gregory, Mildred Noerenburg and Patsy Irwin.

She is preceded in death by her brothers: Larry, Billy Joe and Lawrence Anderson.

After her marriage to Rondal they moved to Indiana due to a promise of work. Rondal's asthma issues necessitated a move to Tucson, Arizona where they lived for approximately 16 years before returning home to Kentucky and their families.

She accepted Christ as her Savior and joined the Concord Baptist Church. Later she moved her membership to Canada Creek Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until she could no longer attend due to her health. Betty set an example to all in her perseverance to honor her Savior with her attendance at church. She enjoyed praising the Lord through song as she sang in the choir for many years. Robert and Derlie would gather their children together and sing gospel songs during their childhood. This singing tradition continued as the family would meet at her house after the yearly Anderson Reunion, eat and gather around the piano where she set up a cassette recorder to capture the wonderful time spent with her family singing gospel songs. Her home was the "meeting place" for different family activities.

She enjoyed sewing as she worked at most every shirt factory in Wayne County. She made her clothes for herself, daughter and granddaughter. Betty also managed the self-service gas station in the Tradeway Shopping Center.

Betty was a nurturer. She loved and helped take care of her parents, siblings and other during childhood, through sickness and death. She will be missed by family, friends and church family.
