Clarence Robert Anderson, age 95, of the Oil Valley community of Wayne County, Ky., passed away Monday, September 3, 2007 at his home.

He was born July 29, 1912 in the Kidds Crossing community of Wayne County, Ky., the son of the late Abraham Lincoln and Mattie Florence Worley Anderson.

On September 25, 1930 he married Derlie Ann Dick Anderson, who preceded him in death on September 12, 1989.

He is survived by six children-Betty Gregory, Katie Gregory, Lawrence and Randal Anderson, all of Monticello, Ky., Mildred Noerenburg of Fowler, Ind. and Patsy Irwin of Lancaster, Ky.

He is also survived by one sister-Lora Burke; 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons-Larry and Billy Anderson; four sisters-Lilly Dodson, Lula Clark, Della Gosser, Virgie Gaylord; five brothers-Dewey, Huey, Rossie, Oscar "Pete" and Coolidge Anderson; his granddaughter-Angela Dawn Anderson; and two great-granddaughters.

As a young man, he accepted Christ as his Savior and became a member of Concord Baptist Church and later moved his membership to Canada's Creek Baptist Church where he served his Master as Deacon and singing praises to his Lord.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Canada's Creek Baptist Church with Bro. C.E. Dick and Bro. Bobby Morrow officiating. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
