OBITUARY- "Amboy Journal", Amboy, Lee Co., Illinois, January 5, 1876, page 8, Col. 2- Compton- "It becomes our sad duty to record the death of Mrs. Taylor Clemmens [sic-Clemons], who died last evening after a short illness. Mrs. Clemmens was an excellent neighbor, a kind mother and a loving wife. She leaves a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. The heart felt sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved husband and children."
