STONES
Four stones mark this lot. The stone at far left is completely eroded and illegible (except for the name Inslee at the bottom right corner). In the center are 2 stones for John Inslee—his large original stone, and an Arlington-style military stone placed here by Green-Wood Cemetery as part of its ongoing Civil War project. The stone on the right memorializes Evelyn O'Connor.

(The 2 stones appear to disagree with regard to Inslee's birth year. If, as the large stone says, he died after his 35th birthday, he must have been born in 1840. The military stone gives his birth year as 1841.)
