Elizabeth (Mayer, Nelson) Tomlin of Kenosha passed away on March 9, 2010 peacefully at her home with her family by her side.

Liz was born in Milwaukee, WI on March 31, 1933, daughter of the late Raymond and Annetta Mayer.

She was raised in Kenosha and attended St. Casimir's, Washington Jr. High & Mary D. Bradford High School.

Elizabeth married John Tomlin, her love of forty years in December of 1964. Together they lived in Illinois, Pennsylvania and Kentucky before retiring in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1991. Both Liz and John loved it there and also did a lot of traveling. John preceded her in death on January 30, 2004. Liz was also preceded in death by her grandson John Robert Tomlin who lost his life in the Columbine High shootings on April 20, 1999.

She is survived by her four children, daughter Kim Radovanovic of Kenosha, WI, Rick D. Nelson of Wheeling, IL, John (Doreen) Tomlin of Littleton, CO, David (Danni) Tomlin of Fredrick, MA her seven grandchildren Megan Radovanovic of Kenosha, WI, Patrick & Ashley Tomlin of Littleton, CO, Rainna, Liselle & Heide of Fredrick, MA and Melissa Saundes of Sterling, VA. She is further survived by her brother Roger R. Mayer (Catherine), a sister Delores (Hal) Layton, all of Kenosha, WI.

Liz loved people and enjoyed working along side her husband in the vending business for many years. She enjoyed life and would like to be remembered as a free spirit. Above all, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Liz will be dearly missed and always loved by her family.

Liz's family wishes to extend their special gratitude to Hospice Alliance for their loving and compassionate care.

Memorial remembrances in Liz's honor may be directed to Hospice Alliance or St. Joseph's Nursing Home.

A Memorial service will be held in June at Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. Date and time to be announced at a later date.
