Albert DAWALT, 81, R.R. 1, Tippecanoe, died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday at Woodlawn hospital, where he had been a patient two days. He had been in failing health eight years.

Born May 24, 1886 in Miami county, he was the son of Levi and Mary ZARTMAN DAWALT. He had lived 30 years at Tippecanoe, moving there from Miami county. He was married March 18, 1909 to Laura KERSCHNER in Denver, Ind. He was a retired farmer and member of the Walnut Church of the Brethren near Argos.

Surviving with the wife are a daughter, Mrs. Herman (Marie) FANNING, R.R. 1, Tippecanoe; two sons, Mural DAWALT, Etna Green, and the Rev. Don DAWALT, High Point, N.C.; a brother, Sam [DAWALT], Urbana, Ind.; twelve grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Three brothers and a sister preceded in death.

Last rites will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Walnut Church of the Brethren with the Revs. John JONES and Robert EBEY officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Grossman funeral home in Argos after 7 p.m. today until 11 a.m. Sunday and at the church for one hour before services.
