Louis, born in Casacalenda, Italy, was the son of the late Frank and Giulia De Lalla. He emigrated from Italy to the United States at the age of 11. He served in the US Army in Europe during WWII. About 1951, Louis married, Carmela "Connie" __________ . "Lou" was a cobbler by trade and owned and operated the Gem Valet, Inc. Drycleaners for over 50 years. Lou and Connie retired in Fort Washington, MD, and had the following children:
