Wanda Hardaway, age 69, of Abilene, Texas, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be Friday, May 14, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. in the North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange Street, with Rev. Lynn Hardaway and Rev. Sara Hardaway officiating. Burial will be in Haven of Memories Cemetery in Canton, Texas at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service at the funeral home
Wanda was born October 31, 1934 in Stamford, Texas. She was the daughter of Gillis and Lillian Camron. Wanda married D.J. 'Donny' Hardaway on May 27, 1950 in Stamford, Texas. Mrs. Hardaway was a volunteer at West Texas Rehabilitation for many years.
Survivors include her husband, D.J. 'Donny' Hardaway of Abilene; two sons, Ronny Hardaway of Dallas and Lynn Hardaway of Norfolk, Virginia; two daughters, Kathy Day of Canton and Lois Hardaway of Carrollton; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two step- grandchildren; and one brother, Sterling Camron of Plano.
