George E. Conley of Elkton was killed instantly Monday March 16, 1970, when struck by a car south of Staunton. He was an employee of Monger Brothers Contractors. Funeral services were held Wednesday of last week from the Elkton Pentecostal Church by the Rev. Ennis Dean. Burial was in the Roach Family Cemetery with the Brill Funeral Home of Elkton in charge of arrangements. nephews served as pallbearers. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Dean of Elkton; six sons, Dewey A.; Velma A.; Harold V.; Donald P.; and George K.; Conley, all of Elkton, and Virgil H. Conley of Stanardsville; two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Shifflett of Stanardsville and Mrs. Hally Jane of Morris of Martinsburg, W. Va., six brothers, Curtis Conley of Fredericksburg, Lloyd, Charlie, Raymond, and Lonnie Conley, all of Stanardsville, and Ernest C. Conley of Quinque;, three half-sisters, and 11 grandchildren.
