Christine Anderson was born in Västergötland, Sweden to Anders Anderson and Anna Britha Anderson.

The family arrived in American on 1893 and moved to Dassel-Cokato, Minnesota.

She married a Norwegian, Albert Arness, on November 5, 1894. Albert and Christine were married in Polk County, Minnesota, USA. Their witnesses were Mr. Peter Ramstad and Mrs. Annie Schollert. Annie is the wife of the minister, Emil T. Schollert.

The couple had four children:

- Constance

Albert Arnes was a farmer who inherited the family farm after Alexander passed away. The family farmstead was passed on to Arthur Arness, then to Alton Arness. The family farmhouse still stands today, but it is no longer in the family.
