Homer McCall, 78, of Old River, died on Friday, Aug. 13, 2010.
He was a member of Old River Assembly of God. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. His sense of humor was unmatched.
He was born in LaPanto, Ar., on July 13, 1932, to Hallie Warner. He was a longtime employee of Payne & Keller Construction, and later, Certified Technical Services.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marilyn Lynette McCall; son, John Stephen McCall; mother, Hallie Denny and brothers, Golden Joe McCall and James Denny.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Alice McCall; children, Harold McCall (Pam), Sandra Campbell (Kenny), Charles McCall, Sharon Hargraves, Kathy Price (Mike), Karl McCall, Ruth McIntosh (Charles). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren, and many relatives and cherished friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at 2 p.m., at Old River Assembly of God, 40 County Road 401, Dayton, TX 77535, with Rev. James Mills, Rev. Gene Summers and Rev. Dave McLennan officiating.
Flowers may be sent to the church beginning on Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, at 10 a.m., until 3 pm, and until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Rd., Baytown, TX 77521.
