Mrs. Ervin Mankey Dies; Ill 6 Weeks Mrs. Pearl Mankey, 65, wife of Irvin Mankey, 718 South Marion St., died at 8:50 p.m. Thursday at the Wells County Hospital. She had been critically ill six weeks. A native of Adams County, Mrs. Mankey was born Nov. 24, 1895, the daughter of David and Mary Moser Biberstine. Her marriage to Mr. Mankey, who survives, took place Oct. 1, 1914 at Decatur. Mrs. Mankey was a member of the Park United Brethren Church and had been a resident of Wells County 41 years. Surviving, in addition to the husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Hall of Marion and Mrs. Lewis (Bernice) Troop of Fort Wayne; a son, Chris of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are seven sisters, Mrs. Ida Hirschy of Monroe Route 1; Mrs. Jenna Bauman of Decatur; Mrs. Mary Strahm and Mrs. Clara Hartman, both of Berne, and Mrs. Goldie Bauman of Monroe; three brothers, David Biberstine of Muncie, Michael Biberstine of Warren and Christ Biberstine of Berne. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Goodwin Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the Park United Brethren Church at noon

Mrs. Ervin Mankey Dies Last Evening
Mrs. Pearl Mankey, 65, of 718 south Marion Street, Bluffton, and a native of Adams County, died at 8:50 p.m. Thursday at the Wells County Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born in Adams County Nov. 24, 1895, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Biberstein, and was married in Decatur to Ervin Mankey Oct. 1, 1914. The family has lived in Wells County for 41 years.
Mrs. Mankey was a member of the Park United Brethren Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Charles Hall of Marion, and Mrs. Lewis Troop of Fort Wayne; one son, Christ Mankey of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dave Biberstein of Muncie, Michael Biberstein of Warren, and Christ Biberstein of Berne, and seven sisters, Mrs. Ida Hirschey of near Monroe, Mrs. Jenna Baumann of Decatur, Mrs. Mary Strahm of Bluffton, Mrs. Sadie Strahm of Berne, Mrs. Martha Garrison of Bluffton, Mrs. Clara Hartman of Berne, and Mrs. Goldie Baumannn of Monroe. Three children, one sister and two brothers are deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Park United Brethren Church, the Rev. Virgil Hull officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Dale Cemetery. Friends may call at the Goodwin Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Friday evening .
