Raymond Urness
Poulsbo resident Raymond Urness died April 3 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. He was 84.
He was born March 27, 1904, in Crookston, Minn., where he worked as an industrial machinist.
After retiring in 1947, he moved to Poulsbo, where he operated a chicken farm until about 1970. In late years he enjoyed gardening on his farm, and often told stories of life in Minnesota in the early 1900's.
He was one of four children: the others all preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth.
A memorial service was held Friday at Hess Funeral Home on Bainbridge Island. Memorials may be made to the Poulsbo Ambulance Fund, in care of the Poulsbo Fire Department.
